Viva Pizzeria & Pasta House – Authentic Italian Flavors in East York, ON

First time being in this charming restaurant. Cute red checkered tablecloths. Our servers were polite, quick and it was a real family atmosphere. The food was amazing. My husband is fussy and he had a big smile. We tried a pizza , a salad, a calzone, and a few pastas. Fresh ingredients. They do takeout as well. This is a special place and is now our favourite Italian restaurant.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Viva Pizzeria & Pasta House is the real deal—an authentic, mom-and-pop Italian gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with great music that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into Italy. I ordered the veal parmigiana with penne pomodoro, and wow—the veal was massive and cooked to perfection. I couldn’t even finish it! The service was superb—our waitress, Fernanda, was sweet, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. This place is a must-visit if you love authentic Italian food and a cozy, welcoming vibe.

Amazing restaurant. I’ve been there multiple times and once was to celebrate my son’s 5th birthday. The food was loved by everybody even the kiddos and they were very accommodating towards the decorations I had brought. One of my favourite restaurants and the owners are very friendly and they make you feel like family!

Wow, I can’t say enough good things about this local gem. We had a party of more than 10 for a very special occasion and the owners - Mike and Anastasia were so accommodating. We were able to book the back section of the restaurant which was super cute and had a cozy atmosphere. The food was amazing and homey - a beautiful spread of appetizers, delicious pastas and I loved the house white - so smooth. Mike and Anastasia are a joy to work with - so friendly and welcoming. Highly highly recommend and we will definitely be back with friends and family!!

We went for pizza and were blown away by the Queen Anastasia and the Prosciutto and Funghi pizzas - both were stunning! The flavors were incredible and the crust was perfect. Prices are great and portions are huge! The restaurant itself has a beautiful vibe, making it a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!

I'm so particular about pasta. This place is amazing and everything feels authentic. My new favourite Italian restaurant! Their tomato sauce that came with the polenta fries was some of the tastiest I've ever tried. Also, the staff was nice to us. We had a kid and a baby and felt very welcomed.

I’m almost hesitant to share this review because I want to keep this little hidden gem all to myself! Viva Pizza & Pasta has been in my neighborhood for just under a year, just a short walk from home. I’ve passed by so many times without stopping in but tonight, with no car and a craving for something local, we finally gave it a try. And wow… what a surprise! The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, clean, piping hot, and bursting with flavor. Service was exceptional, thanks to our wonderful server, Fernandas, who made the evening even better. We had the linguini scoglio di mare, a perfectly cooked pizza, and the calamari and shrimp appetizer. I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich with a side Caesar salad all delicious. The white wine was well-priced and paired beautifully with the meal. Dessert was the perfect finale: tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake, both sublime. Viva Pizza & Pasta is truly a neighborhood treasure, and we will definitely be back!
